Statement regarding UWW

 

STATEMENT CONCERNING UNITED WAY WORLDWIDE ALLEGATIONS

United Way of Staunton, Augusta County, and Waynesboro (United Way SAW) has been monitoring the coverage concerning the alleged harassment and retaliation at the United Way Worldwide. We currently have no information other than what is being reported in the press. The allegations do not include or involve United Way SAW. We are an independent, local organization. As such, we want the people of the communities we serve to know we urge United Way Worldwide to cooperate with all investigations into the allegations, and to do so publicly and transparently.

United Way SAW continues the commitment to address the greatest community needs in the areas of health, education and financial stability.

The United Way of Staunton, Augusta County, and Waynesboro does not, under any circumstances, tolerate harassment, retaliation, disrespect, or exclusion for any reason.

Once more details into the allegations become known, we will continue to update our board of directors and communities.
