Maria grew up in Waynesboro and is married to her high school sweetheart, David. Together they have two sons, Xavier and Bryson, and currently live in Staunton. Maria is a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Kiwanis Club of Waynesboro. She is passionate about early childhood education, and is CLASS certified in both observing and coding classroom interactions for Infants and Toddlers. Maria is bilingual in English and Spanish, and is looking forward to being the "voice" of advocacy for the Hispanic residents in our community. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her extended family and volunteering within the community. "It is my pleasure to give back to the community that I grew up in, and I am eager to help in any way that I can." Maria previously served as a board member for the Kiwanis Club of Waynesboro and as Parish Council at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
